I came across this sax and decided to get it. I have never played the sax before this purchase but have been wanting to as I love the sound that comes from a nice saxophone. This kit comes with everything you need to get started playing the alto saxophone. I have been playing for about a week (not counting days off) and can play a couple basic songs, and multi octave scales. Right out of the box the sax looks beautiful, it has hand etched patterns and a nice lacquer finish. It was relatively easy to learn how to hold this instrument and play it, however some of the accessories included are pretty bad. The mouthpiece and reeds that come in this kit are not the best and produce a cheap sound, but if you change the mouthpiece and reeds out the sound completely transforms. In addition, the neck straps that come in this kit are garbage. I would recommend getting a leather strap. The saxophone it self is beautiful and surprisingly really good quality. It feels about the same as a multi-thousand dollar name brand sax. I have not had any issues with the keys sticking and the response is very pleasant. If you have never played saxophone before but want to start, this is the perfect kit for you! The price is very affordable and provides good value for what you are getting.
