This is a 12-pack of A4 cut resistant work gloves from MAGID. I've tested a number of their cut resistant gloves over the years through Vine, and I've been quite impressed - and the gloves have withstood the test of time in my workshop. That meant I was really excited to stock up on a 12-pack so these would always be at hand (get it?) when I need to do something mildly dangerous.These are a great pair of cut-resistant gloves with substantial protection. Cut resistance is measured on a scale up to A9, and A4 is a midgrade - suitable for tasks with moderate risk. If you're regularly working with sharp things, you probably want a higher level, but for occasional material handling or working with appliances, glass sheets, etc. this is likely sufficient. Consult your own EHS standards to make sure you get the right level for your tasks.These are pretty stiff gloves, and the difference is in the nitrile dip coating. I've previously tested a set of A7 grade MAGID gloves, and these are actually stiffer than those higher grade gloves are due to the coating extending all the way around the fingertips. That makes these great for situations where you're handling gross liquid or oily objects, but it does mean they're less comfortable for continued wear than some others.I also felt these were tighter than I'm used to Size 9 gloves being, even from MAGID. I think that's again due to the full dip - others I've tried have the benefit of allowing the elasticity of the woven material to "give" a little, while these are permanently locked into the size they were when they were dipped. It's not too bad when your hand is flat, but I can definitely feel the glove pressing against my fingers when I make a fist while wearing these.I hope to never be in a situation where I needed the protection of my cutproof gloves, but the best way to ensure that is to always wear them when working on hazardous tasks. With a 12 pack in your workshop, that shouldn't be an issue! Overall, I prefer the GPD748 A7 gloves I previously tested and would choose them over this design if I didn't need the extra oil/solvent resistance that the nitrile undercoat provides, but if you do, these are a great choice; just consider sizing up from your usual MAGID size if you're sensitive to a tight fit.
